Shared Hosting vs VPS Hosting

Shared hosting package is the most common and the most economical web hosting available for hosting your website. Shared server is basically hosting your website on the same server where there are many websites hosted which belong to others.

The resources of the server, like the disk space and the ram are used by all the websites which are hosted on the server. So it gets distributed and hence the website owners have to pay a part of the price of the server. The IP address and the server hostname is also Shared by all the websites on the server. Shared hosting is suitable for the people who are starting with web hosting and the website does not have much traffic on it. The reason for this is the fact that Shared hosting is not reliable enough as the resources are Shared and they are not dedicated to one website.
