Online image hosting is a great way of sharing your pictures with the whole world. I got engaged recently and unfortunately my parents and some close friends were unable to attain the ceremony. I wanted to share my happiest moments of my life with my parents and friends. So I found a great idea of uploading my ceremony pictures online on online image hosting site.
There are many sites on online image hosting on which you have to register to upload your pictures on their site. Usually it is free registration and even if, in a rare case, there is some fee for registration then it is minimal. You just register by giving your name and email address and all the other details are kept confidential depending upon whether you opt for a public or a private profile. These sites have various categories in which you can upload the pictures like Art, Photography, Funny, Love etc. These sites keep a check on the kind of pictures that are being uploaded on the site to avoid any pornographic or obscene pictures on the site. In case they find some user doing the same, his/her registration is cancelled and he /she cannot use the site.
These online image hosting sites also offer you the facility to make your own gallery, do some changes in your picture like rotating the pictures, cropping it to a particular size, adding effects to it and so on. Though the image uploading is free on these sites but there is a limit on the maximum size that your pictures can take on the site. Though there are some sites which offer you up to 100 MB of images on their site. Lot of these online image hosting sites also publish some selected pictures as the image of the week and so on.
